Press Release Body = VC Tech, in collaboration with Bryan Fuller - former TLC Overhaulin\' cast member and owner of Fuller Hot Rods in Atlanta - has placed 14th out of 120 entries in the third-annual Official AMD World of Custom Bike Building Championship in Sturgis, South Dakota. This year\'s competition was very stiff, with several top contenders from outside the United States.
The VC Tech Indian was the only entry built utilizing students and staff from a post secondary technical college. The bike was designed by Fuller; VC Tech students and staff then constructed the motorcycle with Fuller according to his specifications. VC Tech owns the bike; it will later be sold and proceeds will go into the VC Tech Student Scholarship Fund.
The Official AMD World of Custom Bike Building Championship featured contenders from various countries. A truly global competition commanding worldwide status and respect, the competitors themselves decided the winners of the event.
Although Fuller did not train at VC Tech, many of the school\'s current instructors were once his trainers elsewhere and have since come to teach at VC Tech in Birmingham. Fuller sees the Indian bike collaboration as a way to give back to individuals that taught him his trade and prepare future enthusiasts for their automotive and hot rod careers. "I was fortunate enough to be taught by the best in the business and am now able to take what I\'ve learned and give back to them and to the individuals who they are currently training students at VC Tech," says Fuller. "It is a small way to show my gratitude and respect for the individuals who prepared me for my own life\'s passion."
